While Hiking In The Smokies

     On one of our outdoor adventures we went on with the kids we went to Gattlinburg, TN. After we had had all the shopping we could stand we decided to take the kids hiking. I can"t remember which trail, seems like one that went up to "The Chimney", We were dragging behind and trying to catch up to our three kids when I round a rock wall and see my seven year old daughter standing at the very edge of a cliff and she says "Look mommy, you can"t see the bottom". My heart just about jumped out my mouth. I didn't want to yell and scare her so I just walled slowly up beside her and looked with her. She was right I don't know where the bottom was but you sure could not see it. I gently took her arm and led her away from the edge and over to a rock we could sit on that had ground all the way around it till I could get my bearings back. Oh the excitement! I think I had my share for that day.
